Question about Florida licensure issues

Published

Hai,

I am a Registered Nurse working in India.Last year i had done my NCLEX RN Examination under the Florida Board Of Nursing and got cleared.Since i am signed up with an agency ,i only got the information that i had cleared the NCLEX Exam and i got the scanned copy of the certificate saying that i have met the requirements to obtain the licence to work as an RN with the exception of a Social Security Number, from Florida department Of Health. So could somebody help me in finding out how can i obtain my SSN and will it be possible to get the ORIGINAL NCLEX RN Certificate directly from the respective board and what all are the steps in obtaining the certificate. Its very urgent.

Somebody please help me out in this.

Thank you.

since i didnt do my IELTS my processing is not yet started.i should clear my ielts, then only the processing starts.shortly i will be meeting an employer /hospital delegates from NY regarding this for a meeting and if they select me and sponsor an H1 visa, how long it will take for me to come there and since i did my Nclex under FL BON is it possible for me to practice in NY

Obtaining a H1 is very hard, very limited and you must have BSN. If a bedside nurse then it will be very hard to find a hospital that does H1b as not many do. Also if you cancel with agency and go direct you will be starting all over again with PD and processing

I am surprised if you get a petitioner from NY as we have had a few posting that they have found it hard to find an employer even for OPT never mind a petition. H1b is usually filed in April with a start date of Oct, so this year has passed but is hard to get as demand is higher than visas allocated. Even if you have a Florida pass in NCLEX you still have to go through the CVS process for NY as a foreign trained nurse and that takes anything between 6-12 months processing even if endorsing a license you still have to go through CVS. However Florida does not give a license without SSN so you will need to apply to NY as a new application by licensure and arrange Florida to pass your NCLEX results. I feel you are looking for an easy way to beat retrogression and there really isn't one. Which ever state you apply to even if already passed NCLEX you have to meet their requirements for foreign trained nurse and that can take a few months. You will also need VSC and for that you also need English exam pass and that process usually takes 4 months. I suggest a good read in this forum as H1b is not a route we recommend and much has already been written

Hai,

My name is Anish and i am working in India.Last year i had cleared my nclex exam through one agency.since retrogression in on and no immigrant visa the US govt. is issuing is there any other way i can come over there and work.I recently heard that i can get an H1 visa for me to work there and later i can switch to and apply for the immigrant visa.Since retrogression is on and no one know when its gonna end i wanna relieve from the contract with my agency and want my NCLEX documents back so that i can apply directly.

I would like to know will it be possible for me to work in US with an H1 visa till this retrogression getting over and later switch on and apply for the immigrant visa.Is it possible for that.Expecting the reply at the earliest from experts.

Thank You,

Anish

You have asked the same questions several times in this one thread.

As others have said, if you start over with direct hire now, you can expect to wait 5 years or more before you get to the US.

But more importantly, you signed with an agency, they got you to where you are at now, and now you want to abandon that agency. Be aware this could cost you dearly.

I am no fan of agencies, but I do believe if you signed a legally binding agreement, you should honor it. I can understand anyone abandoning their contract if their situation changes and they can no longer come to work in the US, but to do it the way you speak of isn't really fair. How would you feel if you got this far (NCLEX etc) and the agency then dropped you? You'd probably be hopping mad......so expect the same from them......and they WILL go after you.

Hai,

Thanks for your message. So you guys suggest me to stick on to my agency and wait till this retrogression get over.Okay

I will do that.Rather starting from the first its better to stay back tiil things falls in the right track.Once again thank you guys. You guys are really helpful and expecting your suggestion again.Great work you guys are doing. Its my pleasure to be part of this forum.

Thank you:nurse::up::bow:

Have you considered looking into emigrating to work in another country besides the US? You may have a better time of it somewhere else.
