Question about CA forwarding of NCLEX result to another state

Hello. Since I cannot endorse to another state under the California Board of Registered Nursing without a US social security number, and cannot use the License by Endorsement form nor the License Verification form, do I just send a letter telling CA to forward my NCLEX result to another state? How much do I pay for this then? Let's say I already have the visascreen and the CES made for this other state but I need proof that I passed NCLEX, even if I wasn't issued a hard license, so I will be issued a license by this other state. I am confused as to whether I will only write a letter to CA with a $10 fee (this is written on their website under "Copy of Test Results") or a $60 fee (this one's for "Verification of CA RN licensure") for the forwarding of result to the board of nursing I am applying licensure in. Since I am not licensed in CA and am only an NCLEX passer, do I pay the $10 or the $60????????????????

I am also asking this for the VisaScreen. Do I pay CA BRN $10 or $60 for the test result to be forwarded to CGFNS?

Its $10... I did the same thing last year and I sent both $60 check and $10 check... they did not cashed out the $60 check. Hope this helps.

how about forwarding my NCLEX result from NEVADA to NEW York? Same situation, I dont have an SSN. I just want my NCLEX result to be forward to new york.

Do I fill out form3 alone? or do i have to fill out form1 and form3? does anybody here know how much does it cost to forward my result?

You would only be using the form 1, that is all that is required if you graduated out of the US. But be aware that they will not look at your application without the CVS being completed and that is taking close to 8 months to get completed. Form 3 is only if you trained in the US.

The CVS takes care of obtaining all of the other required information that NY needs.

If your letter is anywhere close to expiring, NY most definitely would not be the route for you to use.

Nevada also requires the CES before they will look at your application.

Just by forwarding your results to the new state will not guarantee that they will remain current. If the letter expires before they process your application, then the score will no longer be active as far as they are concerned.

CA has changed their rules, and it can vary as to who is doing the processing. Have seen some that have been required to pay $60 and some pay $10 for verification of the exam. For the VSC application, the charge is $60 for CA.

Hi suzanne,

just want to clarify, im a little confused with your answer. I already finished my CES and already passed my NCLEX under NEVADA. I also started the CVS application a couple of months ago. After that I fill up form1 and take the child abuse class, My only question is, How would I ask Nevada to forward my NCLEX result to NEW YORK. Is there any form that I need to send to NEVADA? and how much is the fee?

this is what you probably need http://www.nursingboard.state.nv.us/license/endorsing%20into%20another%20state.htm

You would use the form that NY has since you will be endorsing to them. Sorry but did not look close at what you wrote. Not sure what the fee will be, best to check directly with Nevada to check on their charges for it. It should also be listed on their website.

Not sure where you are in the petitioning process or if you have even had it started for you, but I would not do a thing with licensure with NY at this time as all you are going to do is be paying fees since the license needs to be renewed every two years and you are looking at about five years for a chance at a green card. We are also not seeing much in the way of hospitals petitioning from there as well if you did not attend school in NY.

Best of luck to you.
