Question About HIPAA Security Assessments

Hello all,

I'm a Security Consultant who used to be a nurse and my consulting firm is moving into the HIPAA domain. Had a question for you folks who have been in charge of your facilities HIPAA Compliance Assessments. So do you all have all sections of the HIPAA Compliance assessments (Privacy Rule, Security Rule, and Breach Notification) done by just one vendor or are you accustomed to having separate vendors/consultants take care of each section?

To be honest, our HIPAA training is 1 online module that we gloss over in 5 minutes that probably touches on the things you're talking about. We don't ever interact with security vendors.
