Umm, what are they? :) How do they work? I am still in highschool, but when I read that in college you have to have a certain number of "hours", I get confused. Like if one course has 3 hours. Anyone care to explain? (this is probably a really stupid quesiton!) lol

it is not a stupid question unless unasked. :)
college hours are the amount of hours you are expected to attend a class in one week. so for a 3 credit hour class you will be in the classroom for 3 hours. either 3 hours in one day or 1.5 hours x 2 days, or 1 hour x 3 days ect.
when will you graduate and are you thinking of nursing?
Alright thanks! :)
Yeah I am a junior in highschool right now. I want to be a nurse "when I grow up", and thinking about going to UAB. I'll graduate HS in 2004.
Can't wait to graduate.

Skrawberri, you are one smart Cookie for asking questions like that ahead of time.. the more you know the better off you will be !!
Good Luck, I think you will be great at whatever you do.

Skraberri,
Have you thought about an area you'd like to work in? What about Advanced Practice Nursing such as a Nurse Practioner or a Nurse Anesthetist?j\w Welcome to the BB and ask away!!!

Some high schools let you take college hours concurrent if your grades are high enough. You might ask your counselor (the more you do now, the less you do later :))
