Just started my application to Queens University in NC. Waiting to hear whether I got accepted to the university before I can submit my ABSN application. Applications are not due until February, but wanted to go ahead and get a head start. Anyone else applying to start in May?
Update: Just received my acceptance to the university as a second degree seeking student. Submitted my ABSN application this morning. Hope to hear from others soon! :)

Has anyone been accepted to the regular BSN program, with a January start?

I submitted my application for the ABSN program last week. Now just keeping my fingers crossed and praying for an acceptance letter! Hopefully it won't be long after the application deadline passes before letters are sent out.
I talked with admissions but it's been so long ago... I can't remember if they said we should receive letters by mid February or mid March. Have you applied to any other nursing programs? I am very nervous about Queens since I was told it's very competitive.
I have only applied to Queen's. It's the only program that would work with my current prerequisites and timeline. I think I have a pretty good GPA and only one prerequisite in progress, so I am hoping my chances of getting in are pretty good.

Hi! My name is Kayleen and I just submitted the undergrad app to Queens. I'm waiting to get accepted and receive the student ID so I can complete the supplemental app. I'm surprised at how late they get back to us considering we start in May. I'm not local, so I'm hoping I have some time to get my ducks in a row before classes start.
Hi Kayleen! Good luck to you! I'm so ready to hear back! You should hear about the status of your university application fairly quickly. I think I heard back within a week of it being considered complete. If I remember correctly, I think I was told by an advisor you don't have to include your student ID on the supp application, they can pull your ID if you're accepted (which you have to be to apply to upper division), but it's better to be safe than sorry. Have you applied to any other nursing schools? I know the feeling about relocating. I applied and was accepted to an out of state school but I want hear back from others before I determine where I'm going. It's so stressful to find out whether you got in mid March and have to start classes in May!!

Anyone who applied to the BSN program, May 2017 start, what were your Cum and Prereq GPAs and from where?? An admissions counselor told me in the accelerated program the average GPA is usually in the 3.3-3.5 range but that varies year to year. I'm right around 3.3 prereq and wondering where I fall in this years applicant pool....
Hi SarahCLT! An admissions counselor told me the exact same thing. My cumulative GPA and my prerequisite GPA are both about the same thing, a little over a 3.3. I think it's a 3.34 to be exact. It's reassuring to hear from someone who has a similar GPA. I graduated from ECU with a degree in Biology. But if I understand correctly, they just look at numbers... none of that extra stuff.
Hi! I applied two weeks ago with the supplemental app. All my prereqs are set and I should be ready to go, because I received some confirmation emails. They told me six weeks from the deadline, which is mid-March, but I'm hoping I hear earlier. I applied to Stony Brook U and got accepted but declined, got accepted to Michigan State but I would need to take Pharmacology for a prereq and haven't found a class I'm willing to pay for yet (It's not my top choice and I would hate to spend $1,500 on a course for a school I might not even attend). I also applied to Baldwin Wallace U near Cleveland, OH, and have a second interview in two weeks. BWU doesn't start until the fall.
Cumulative GPA is 3.8 and my Prereq GPA is 4.0.
