75qs I think I failed. =/

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

75q in 1.5hours.

i'm normally a fast test taker so I really tried to slow down with the NCLEX questions, even in practice.

I'm so nervous! I took the NCLEX this morning. and it shut off at 75 questions.

I got 19 SATAs, 1 ordering, and 1 calculation.

I got my LAST question wrong!!! =/ it was a pharm question. i thought I got it right until I looked it up and i was WRONG WRONG WRONG. it was clearly the wrong answer =/

During the test i was confident, especially in the beginning. and then towards the end i started second guessing myself. changed 6 questions! i wasn't supposed to but i couldn't help it!

and now i keep remembering questions and looking them up and getting them wrong!! especially the pharm qs =/

I did the PVT and i got the pop up "recently scheduled, please contact board for assistance." and supposedly that's the old good pop up?

I'm soo nervous. I feel like i'm the 1% that the PVT isn't true!

I won't even know until thursday or friday morning on the CA BRN.

Anyone pass at 75qs and got their last question wrong??

Specializes in Cardiac.

OP- please let us all know what the final outcome was for you!

I hate SATA questions in school! I always check all of the correct answers but then add one more and bomb the whole thing. At least now I know I really need to find those types of questions and practice them :)

I found a book at Barnes and Nobles that was all alternate format questions. I went through alot of that book since I knew there's lots of sata now. Worth looking at!

This is the book:

I didn't buy it though, I studied from books at B&N just sitting in there.

i did do kaplan! but i couldnt tell what types of questions kaplan was giving me unless it was through the question trainers. and those results made me somewhat nervous haha.

So, bayareastudent, my results came in this morning, and I passed!! You did too. The PVT worked, the high SATA's were a good sign, it was all true. Breathe deeply.

Yay for finally being a nurse! Not a student anymore. How weird...

Congrats to you!

yayy! congrats to you!

for everyone: thank you for your support. i will find out tomorrow from CA BRN. =)

I took mine in Texas on Thursday, too, at 8am... got 75 questions, and like you, felt like I completely failed it. I felt a bit better talking to some others afterward, but still can't believe how WEIRD that test was and how unconfident I felt afterward.

I can't bring myself to do the PVT; I am way too scared that it will not be accurate or that it will say I failed. I am holding my breath and hoping I can sleep tonight until 8am tomorrow morning. T-minus 12 hours!!! And here's hoping I'm not one of the lucky ones whose records are on hold...

Definitely want to hear how you did! :)

*freaking out*

Rachel.

wow..............

quit ur crying...

u passed........

go celebrate........

have fun....

hey now... were you not nervous about your result?!

bayareastudent0711: so did you ever find out the results?? :)

I passed!!!!!!!!! Did you?!

Ok just checked Pearson Vue quick results and I am officially an RN!!!!!!! The PVT works!!!!! I had failed a few times before, always got the CC section except for this time and I thought 100% that I failed when I left the testing center, waterworks and all. 2yrs 8 months post graduation, 3 tests later, $2,000.00 in fees, to say I am an RN... PRICELESS ;)

For everone else that got the same "old" good popup and is still awaiting your results... YOU PASSED!!!!! I know you won't be able to celebrate until you see it for yourself but congratulations in advance!!! xoxo

So happy for you!!!!!!!! :)
