Hello!
I want to ask for any opinions on Charity School of Nursing from previous graduates, present students, etc. I am looking at Charity for their on hands experience in the nursing program. Any information is welcome. Please and thank you!

I graduated from Charity 30 years ago. Hands on experience is the best in the world. You will have far more clinical experience than other programs, with the exception of a few Diploma programs that are still in existence. It will not be an easy program, however. Charity School of Nursing has a very low tolerance for BS.

When you graduated from Charity, did you have a hard time finding employment within Louisiana and out of state?

I just graduated from charity in May. I had really great hands on experience going through this program. It has a great reputation across the city. As far as employment goes, most of my class had jobs before graduation.

Thank you so much for you response. I am currently attending LSU, but I changed my mind to getting my ADN at Charity first (b/c of the hands on experience I was told about) Of course I will be doing the bridge program and get my BSN at LSUHSC or ULL, but what worries me is the employment rate for Charity graduates. I am told it will be hard to find a job with an ADN around New Orleans. I was thinking of applying to Slidell's hospital after I am done with nursing school too.
