Hi,

I am applying to PVAMU in the spring of 2015. I wanted to start a thread and see who else may be applying.

I have a quick question for everyone that got accepted. Did you guys need to submit letters of recommendation with your application? Also did you have to take sociology class? I see you have can take a computer class instead of speech and a finance class instead economics.

Yes u have to submit two letters of recommendation and yes we had to take a sociology class as one of the pre reqs

Sociology and finance or business class? Is there really a difference in the government classes?.i took 2305 and 2306

I am a little confused so we submit two transcripts? Is it considered unofficial if we get our transcripts mailed to us and we take them to admissions?

one transcript has to be official which is sent to the main campus. The other one can be sent to you but you cannot open it and that's the one you would turn in with the application to the Houston location

Oh okay.. Thanks.. As far as the perquisites go, do we have to take finance class or economic class? What happen to sociology? I took government 2305 and 2306 but they want 2301 and 2302. Whats the difference?

No you don't need finance or economics. You should probably ask the school about your government classes but as far as I know they have to be the same course number and what they have listed as transferable courses so they might need you to take 2301 and 2302

Dose everyone go to tomorrow's orientation at the main campus? Happy to see you all. I am still not sure what to take. ...what kind of documents. .I asked the lady from orientation office. She is not very friendly I think she said official document only. ??
