PVAMU FALL 2015

I just found out thy PVAMU was still taking applications til March 1, so I'm trying to gather all my materials to submit in time. I got 87 on HESI overall, I made 88-96 on everything except for AP (76), 880 on CT.

Good! Can't wait. You still have any classes left to take? I'll have 2 to take if accepted. I wonder how many ppl have applied

Yes I am still taking algebra because the math class that I had they did not take. Ill be done in May and ill just have to send my final transcript. I know I wonder too how many people have applied.

I just found out that official copies of your transcripts have to be send to the school of nursing and the main campus. Did anyone not know that? I just found out today after talking to the advisor so now I'm hoping the orders I placed today go out by at least Monday since its the deadline.

Yes I did. Electronic copy can be sent to main campus... But an actual paper copy to the school of nursing by the school/s attended.... I hope everything gets their on time for you. I don't even know if mine got there when I call them they can't seem to tell me. But I dogave pro of payments and proof that it has been delivered so hopefully everything works out.

I hope so too! I really didn't know and thought it was unofficial paper copies that were needed. I want to see if I can hand deliver them but I don't think they'll take them. If not all I can do is try! I would email them to confirm that all of yours are received. I've had pretty good communication via email.

Hello everyone, I am thinking about applying to PV for the spring semester I was looking up info about the program and I have a question over the application process. How do I find the nursing application? I cannot find it in the forms section or anywhere on their website if someone could help me I would greatly appreciate it! Thank you!!

You have to go to applytexas.org to fill out an application to the PV main campus. This is also the application that will be given to the nursing department. There is no separate application for the nursing program. Review all the info for applying on the PV nursing site under admissions process.

Hi fellow PVAMU CON FALL 2015 applicants! I submitted everything and like everyone it's now the waiting game. I was just wondering where everyone stood or have heard or just anything lol. My stats are: Transfer student with AA; Overall GPA 3.10; Science GPA 3.30; HESI 88%. I'm not even sure if that is competitive. I don't know anyone who had gotten into PVAMU so I don't have anything to compare to. Also I've retaken a couple classes. Which I know they don't like. Anyone hear how much that will determine an acceptance? Good luck to all that applied, hope we all get in :)

Hey welcome to the forum! I emailed one of nursing department contact yesterday to see when we should start hearing about acceptances. They may be on spring break but I haven't gotten a response back yet. I don't know anyone in the program and wonder how many students applied. I still have 2 classes in progress, 1 Im retaking, and 2 I'll have to take over summer if accepted. I'm complete with all my science and most general classes. Support GPA is 3.5 and cumulative is 3.4, HESI 86%. I hope we all get accepted too! I hope we hear something soon!

My stats: 3.34 Cummalitive, 3.17 Supportative. On my Hesi I made a 89 average with 840 on Critical Thinking. I hope I can get accepted. I have not retaken any classes. Also, I am currently taking Algebra, working on an A. Goodluck to all.

Hi! Just thought I would update you all. My friend's cousin is a current PVAMU undergrad and she just got her acceptance letter yesterday. Also, I think another thing they prioritize are the total number of pre-reqs completed at the time of the application deadline. Don't be afraid to contact them if you feel you fulfill all of their requirements and maybe your paperwork just didn't show it. I submitted a new transcript this week to update my transcript evaluation.
