Anyone out there have info on the school in Arecibo, PR? It is a 24 month program that begins in August.
I'd love to hear anything, thanks.

Ok thnx...one more question. Do we have to go through the whole registration process of going to Dr. A and then going to admissions with the form every trimester? Or can we register online for our nursing classes on our own?
You eventually have to have Miss Y sign the form. I think Dr A was just helping out because there were so many people. Dr A is usually only a back up.
You can register online but you will still need to get the paper version signed. Also there are some circumstances were the Inter Web system will not let you register. For example if you owe any money at all. Even if you get financial aid I think the payments are dispersed at different times and maybe all the payments have not gone through before registration time. Don't quote me on that because I don't get finincial aid. But there were various reasons why some people were not able to register online.
Help from anyone is highly appreciated. I applied to Interamerican Univ. Metro campus and am currently waiting on my letter of acceptance (or rejection). What are my chances of being accepted into the school for the English Trimester in November? I have had secondary education in the states i was a few classes short of earning my AA but im committed to earning my BSN so i dont want to continue my education in the states if im eventually going to be moving to puerto rico. It would save me tons of money and either way there are no prerequisites to be done for Inter. My college GPA is a 3.2 .
You'll get in. Everyone gets in. Especially if you are not concerned about being in the accelerated program or not. I am not sure the exact qualifications if you are not a second degree student, but if you're not too concerned about that part, you've got nothing to worry about. I wouldn't wait around for the acceptance letter because who knows when that will show up. I don't think I got mine until AFTER I registered for classes. I don't know when registration starts for Nov. (seems like they enjoy surprising the students with it), but you probably want to call frequently to find out. I don't know of anyone starting in Nov. but I don't see why one couldn't. Welcome to the program, consider yourself accepted. LOL

To add to what WTY said, Y's assistant also signs registration. She did my paperwork this trimester. It is a pain in the rear but they seem to be getting faster at it. I still don't like the "surprise registration started yesterday" approach. That aspect sucks.

Omg you have no idea how much I hate calling. Lol. Nobody ever wants to answer the phone I'm sure I'm not the only one that's had that problem.
And thanks. Lol. I'm still in the states planning to move in October. Maybe earlier depending on registration. Thank you so much for your help it makes me feel less worried and anxious.
wow! i cant beleive i spent almost all day reading most of the messages on here! hahaha alot of info thankx to EVERYONE! i must sound very late... but i just found out about this school a couple days ago and am now trying to find a way to apply and get accepted! im still having trouble with the website i dont see an application form..i emailed "e" but from reading all the posts i dont want to sit around and wait for an email and im pretty discouraged to even call since just reading about how hard you guys tried getting a hold through them thru the phone was stressful. basically i need help i need a step by step instruction if anyone can please send me the application and tell me who to send it to that would be great, i already have my transcript and my ss card ready.

As designer-mommy said you have to be 4 classes short of your Bachelors to do the accelerated program. I have a friend this year that was one class shy and they barely, barely let her do the accelerated program. So it does not sound like you would be a candidate for the accelerated program.
The November entry is not publicized but it is for the accelerated program only. I know they do not start the non accelerated program in Nov because they don't have the correct classes to offer for non accelerated students in Nov.
But things change all the time so it does not hurt to contact them directly, if you can get through.
Opps I missed some pages here when I responded to the previous post and I didn't realize Cahoon had responded. You can start in Nov as a non accelerated student but you will not take nursing classes until next August.
Cahoon, student KH that was helping type out the document for all of us in the library yesterday is an accelerated student and started in Nov. He had to take peds in June, and Adult Care in July and that is how he caught up with us. Plus I know two other accelerated students with Bachelors that started in Nov with him. But Abril510 they all have Bachelors.
They don't advertise it for some reason. They should just let people do it and tell people about it. I asked prior to moving here and they said ONLY Aug. But you know how they change or break their own rules.
By the way Abril510 are you from area code 510? There are a ton of us from CA. The SF Bay Area, LA area, and San Diego. I am from 650.
