Anyone out there have info on the school in Arecibo, PR? It is a 24 month program that begins in August.
I'd love to hear anything, thanks.

Nursing students:
"The school of nursing is having an orientation for new admissions to your program on Thursday, July 29th, 2010 at 10:00am . Your attendance is required."
SoOo, I'm wondering what is this meeting going to be about 1 week before class start's ...
Yeah, I love how well this school communicates with it's new students. At least it's right before school so we don't have to go out early, (those of us who are still on the mainland). I bet it's just a last orientation type thing...I hope. I got into San Diego State Univ. also but decided to go to IUPR instead and last week I got a letter from SDSU saying that they had to cancel their program for next year. I didn't read the whole thing, but i'm glad I didn't go there. So....hopefully it's nothing like that.
Hello everyone!
I realize I'm rather late to the game but I'm hoping to gain admission to the 2010 August trimester at Interamerican University, beginning the path to become a nurse.
Since my time to get things done is short I was wondering if folks could tell me what I need to do/am missing since the English Trimester office was not terribly proactive on the phone with me yesterday(though they did say it was still possible to be admitted).
I am gathering and will overnight:
Official Transcript (had a 3.3 BA in Economics, which I don't really use in my call center job!)
Copy of social security card
Course Catalog (I am hoping that I will not need to print the whole thing, just the departments I took courses in)
and I have already completed the transfer student online application yesterday (and completed fafsa yesterday, deadline was today, yikes!)
The only thing worrying me so far is the length of time to evaluate my coursework and this form letter for the dean. I was wondering if any of you had a copy you could email to me (my former college is only 90 minutes away), that would be simply divine!
Sorry to write such a long post, so let me just recap:
Introducing myself, pleading for help on dean form, asking if any other hoops to jump through, and wondering when course registration is, if it has not happened already.
(I'm assuming I'll need to do 3 year program, not worried yet about cpr certification, immunizations)
Thanks everyone!

Can someone clue me into where we can find out what books we need for classes? I don't really want to have to buy them from their bookstore since half.com is usually so much cheaper.
Also I heard a nasty rumor at the place where we're to buy our "pretty" green uniforms near the UPR campus. She said that we are going to be wearing them to class as well. "B" My roomie called the offices at the nursing school and he said that they told him it was true. I was at orientation and I know that "Y" said we could wear street clothes to classes. I don't know who "B" spoke to, but they said that "Y" was misinformed. ...isn't she the dean though??? So if anyone else has heard anything on this please chime in. Oh, and I looked it up and it does say somewhere in the packets that we can wear street clothes to classes. I'm so confused. I REALLY hope that the policy has not changed.
