Are there any county/public hospitals in the area from Phoenix to Prescott? I would like to eventually move there, thanks.

You could try searching at hospitalsoup.com

They list by geographic location, so you could find an answer to your question. Most listings then provide a link to the hosptial or system web site too. You could also check for Indian Health Service facilities in the area....

How about Maricopa Medical Center? It's a county hospital in Phoenix.

Is Maricpopa a good place to work aside from bonuses? Health care and salary are important.... Thanks

Depends on the unit. I worked there for a short time and liked it, but I never heard good things about the med/surg floors, as they're very busy and short-staffed. They have an awesome retirement plan and good benefits. And the salary was comparable to valley hospitals.

hi dijaqrn, i saw a post regarding jobs at county hospitals and you listed this website "www.ladhs.org will let you link to all of the department of health services hospitals, clinics and public health...." i was wondering if you could help me explain what county hospitals are and why is the pay rate more for rn's? thankyou

that link is for los angeles county which does not happen to be in arizona.

perhaps that is why you are finding a high pay rate.
