Specializes in Psych (25 years), Medical (15 years).
As you may remember Jacob Rockstar-RN is now working at Wrongway Regional Medical Center as a day Psych Division House Supervisor. Jacob will pick up a weekend MN shift every now and then.
Jacob worked the adolescent psych unit this past Saturday night and telephoned me on the geriatric psych unit Sunday morning. He asked if I kept any tools in my Jeep and I said yes, I had a small toolbox with a few basic tools. Jacob had locked his keys in his car and wanted to borrow a flat-bladed screwdriver in order to break into it.
I met Jacob in the hospital parking lot after clocking out and he attempted to unlock the door with the screwdriver without success. "If only I had a wire clothes hanger, I could get in", he said. I said that I might have a wire hanger in my Jeep. "You do?!" he asked, unbelieving.
Sure enough, I found a nice white wire clothes hanger in my Jeep I sometimes used to hang up a lab coat or rain coat. Jacob unbent the hanger, slipped it alongside the screwdriver wedged in the door, and in no time at all had the door unlocked.
Specializes in Med nurse in med-surg., float, HH, and PDN.
S-t-r-e-t-c-h-e-s out in the back, as if there's more room there?
Nah, maybe he has taken out the driver's seat and sits in the back seat to drive. His arms and legs could span the 'distance' to the pedals and steering wheel quite easily.
