The page I was sent to, via your link...said it did not exist, and yet...there were some things listed, none of which I clicked on. Hmmm, there was a lot of reading on a page that doesn't exist! It should have been blank, doncha think? Was I hallucinating, or were you? Is it already April Fools Day?

I was reading this thread,

when I got the idea for this meme. It seemed inappropriate for that thread, so I just stuck it in one of my threads on the Blue Side. Then I thought, "Wait a minute! Unserious psych situation- Jacob Rockstar!

Well, Jacob has returned to Wrongway, he is the weekend day house sup for the psych side, and he's shaven his goatee.

As we say in psych, it's a protection mechanism: We can't backhand one another in the crotch.

I saw Jacob in passing again this morning after clocking out and chatted with him for a few minutes. At home I watched the movie "Home Fries" with Drew Barrymore and Luke Wilson and then it hit me: Without the goatee, Jacob looks a lot like Drew Barrymore... oh- um, I mean Luke Wilson!

"You couldn't get a part in a movie if you had act as though you were sleeping", I told the acting out psychotic patient who was a 1:1.

He bet me he could.

In a few moments, he actually did fall asleep.

This scenario became his bedtime routine.

It's amazing to what and who patients will respond.

For example, one patient fictitiously name Luke, would regularly become irritable at bedtime and stand up at the nurses station and loudly complain. Staff's attempts to direct Luke to his room availed little.

Then, Rooty Payne Psych Tech would come in for his 8 hour MN shift and ask him, "Where's Luke? Have you seen Luke?"

Luke would drop his head and chuckle at Rooty's question.

Then, Luke would follow Rooty's direction to go to his room and to try and get some rest.
