I am in Psychiatric Nursing as well. In BC there are opportunities for psychiatric nurses (RPN) to bridge into the RN program. Douglas College has options for RPNs to access the BSN program for advanced placement into 2nd year (http://www.douglas.bc.ca/programs/nursing/options.html). BCIT also has this option for RPNs to bridge into the 5th level of their 3 year BSN program (http://www.bcit.ca/study/programs/8870bsn#entry). There is a new nursing program being constructed for those with degrees, so look out for that in the near future. Good luck to you!

Hi, I know this thread is a little old, but i am thinking about becoming a psychiatric nurse. I was wondering how you liked being a pych nurse? What kind of job did you have? Why did u decide to then become an RN?
Thanks
