PSB for Collin College

Hi all, I just took the PSB for Collin College and am stressed out to the max. I'm really nervous and have no idea how I did. I feel I did ok but just not sure. If I get all six points then I will have 15 total. If I don't then I don't think I have a shot at getting in to Collin. Anyone else here applied to Collin for Fall 2014?

Hi!! Yes I have applied for Fall 2014. I just took my PSB yesterday and I too am so nervous! I didn't answer all the reading ones so I am not sure if I will pick up the two points for that?!?!? I am going in with a total of 10 before PSB results but that still doesn't make me feel any better :no:

I didnt answe all the reading either. I'm still waiting for results. Im missing a point already so i need the 6 points. Im sure we did fine! Its just stressful lol hopefully we both make it! Did you do your pre-reqs at collin?

The questions you don't get to are not considered when calculating the grade. The entire thing is graded on a percentile. This means how many questions you answer correctly are compared to the conglomerate of everyone who has ever taken this test and your score is calculated accordingly. If you get, for example, an 80% on the reading portion, that means you scored higher than 80% of the population who took the same test. It doesn't mean you got 80% correct out of all the questions on there. It is a test that allows them to compare you to all the rest of the people looking to get into a healthcare career. This is why those who race to bubble in as many questions as possible willy nilly tend to score pathetically. It doesn't matter how many you answer nearly as much as it matters how many you answer correctly.

Thanks, i rushed the reading because of the time. Im great at reading comprehension and usually dont get test anxiety. Im kicking myself, i have no idea why i freaked. Scared now that i didnt do well. :(

Hey!! Yes I did my pre reqs all at Collin spring creek campus. I sent them am addressed envelop to send me my test results when they come in...this is dreadful!!! If I come out with a five from the PSB then that will give me a 15 and I don't know how many of the 15s they take eeekkkk so scary haha. I want both of us to get in!!!!

I heard 15 has a good shot, depends on how many 16.s there are. Im so anxious for my results. Today has been exactly 2weeks for me. I'm anxiously checking the mail! Fingers crossed

Well you will have to let me know if you get them in today...I had a couple of friends that took the exam on the 21st...I took mine last Monday so I have like another week ugh...did you take your course at Collin?

Yep all at spring creek :) except A&P 2, i took that in McKinney . Didnt get my results yet, just checked the mail,its been 2 weeks and 1 day lol I'm dying to know!

Well my friend said that she drove up there and got hers that took the test on the 21st...she got the full 6!! She didn't leave any unanswered though so I expected her to get the full 6!!

Oh good then hopefully i will get mine in the mail tomorrow. I was up there Friday and they still weren't in! I'm so nervous! Just want to get them already!
