Hello! 

This will be the thread for all those applying to Providence SOCAL April 2021! 

I submitted my application today. This is my second time applying. I applied for the September (didn't have my RN lic at the time) cohort but didn't get selected for an in person interview. Last time I was requested to do a video interview. This time I received a self paced text only interview.

My status says "We are reviewing your application" for Providence LA (last updated on 1/19/2021).

Has anyone that applied to the fellowship programs hear back? And are you internal or external applicant?

I applied to OC location. Had a video interview last week with the nurse manager and waiting to hear back. Anyone else in the same boat?

Does anyone know when the residency is going to be reviewed... I feel like they're going to get all the fellows then move to residents.

Anyone here who applied for Fellowship for LA location hear anything back yet? And for what unit? Thanks

I applied to the Fellowship at the LA locations too. I haven’t heard anything yet. The LA locations are union, so priority goes to internal employees first. Some units are harder to get into than others. I always apply to L&D or Mother baby with no luck yet.

@Christinah12 oh okay I didn’t about LA locations and unions thanks for the info. I applied for ICU and step down but I only put dayshift so IDK how many spots they even have for those units.

So I also applied to the ICU program for the LA locations and contacted the recruiter. Her response was that per union guidelines, they won't be taking any new grads to ICU only internal candidates and there has been a lot of internal applicants for ICU. Most likely new grads will be placed in the float pool.
