Providence TIP Program September 2020

Hey all,

I wanted to make a forum where we could communicate regarding Providence Health's TIP program starting in September 2020.

I submitted my on-demand interview on Wednesday 6/10 and heard back the following Tuesday. Based on what I’ve heard, the virtual interview isn’t unit-specific. There are people from previous and current cohorts posting in a facebook group: RN New Grad Programs - Southern California that I’m following- I recommend joining since there are a lot more updates there. ?

I submitted my app last week too and have yet to hear back, last cohort they emailed specific to unit, I’m not sure how it is now!

I applied to Saint Joseph Burbank and Holy Cross Mission Hills. I got an email today saying I won't be moving forward. It stated that there weren't any new grad positions @ Saint Joseph's for this September cohort and that other Providence locations in the Valley had limited positions with internal applicants having priority. They also added that their Jan 2021 TIP program application will open somewhere around September.

Oh no are you serious?? I put those two as my first choices as well! What time did you get this email??

Hmmmm, my application originally said Burbank. However I believe I put no preference when asking for options. I have not received the email. I did apply really late so maybe it’s just a matter of time.

Mine says: thank you for applying! And has not been updated since the 11th.... I have also reached out to the recruiter and he has not emailed back. I understand they have a lot of applicants so they may not have seen mine yet.

Yesterday I received an interview invite for Holy Cross on 6/29, my top 2 units are oncology and ICU.

CONGRATS hun! Did you put Holy Cross as your first choice? Has anyone who put Burbank as their first choice heard back ?

Thank you ! I actually put Burbank as my first choice and Holy Cross second. A friend of mine who works at St Joseph said they have a hiring freeze right now that’s probably why they’re not offering new grad positions ?

That's what I heard too!

Did you reach out to the recruiter at any point? I put Burbank as my first choice as well, but put Holy Cross as my second choice, I want to know if it's a good idea to reach out to someone to get an update.
