Hey guys! I'm starting this thread for Providence's RN Residency Program - September 2024 Cohort. Hopefully we can update each other on application processes, interviews, and job offers!

Hello, I have recently been hired at a Providence hospital and I am curious if anyone's offer letter stated "variable shift" even if you were told you'd be working days/nights? Curious if it's how the hospital system operates because of the first few months of classroom days during the new grad program, or if it's just the Providence in my area signing me up to work variable shifts until I burn out. Any input is greatly appreciated!

For those who were offered positions, did you receive an offer email from HR or did the manager let you know first?

Just like the previous commenter mentioned, I received a call directly from the unit manager to personally offer me the position.

I received an offer by email from the Nurse Educator, no call.

Sorry, Providence Tarzana. I was told by someone that works there it would open in September, but I have checked every day so far and nothing.
