Nurses Residency
Published Jul 3
Hey guys! I'm starting this thread for Providence's RN Residency Program - September 2024 Cohort. Hopefully we can update each other on application processes, interviews, and job offers!
Applications open up on July 3! Good luck to all of us (-:

Wow even if you get selected for an interview you have to grab a slot fast. They really make us jump through hurdles to become a nurse! From pre-req classes all the way until the end!

My holy cross offer was $48.50 and tarzana offer was $51.50. Thats excluding night differential which the recruiter told me was $6 something for holy cross and $5 something for tarzana. She shared the range for tarzana is a bit diff bc the union/how they calculate experience and stuff but more or less all the offers should be around that number.

Congrats! What unit was it for? I'm just curious what units people have been getting called/offers for.

Do we know how many were hired for this cohort?

Thank you! This is for med-surg. I know someone who accepted an offer for oncology as well.

I'm not sure how many people they were looking to hire. Does anyone else know?

I accepted an offer from St. Joseph in Burbank, Night Shift! Base pay is $53.45/hr, night differential is +$5 (?), and weekend differential is +$3. They haven't said anything about a commitment, but I was told that residency is a year long! I think we'll find out more information about that and if we get a pay increase on the first day of orientation.

I got Providence San Pedro. Is orientation on the 9th for everyone?

I believe so! Orientation day for St Joes in Burbank is also on September 9.
Okie sounds good, thank you!

I'm not sure the exact number, but during my interview, they indicated the # of candidates each unit were hiring for on the sheet. To my recollection, I believe it was under 20!
35 is criminally low for this coast! Even DaVita is paying more.

Update: there is no color code (@ least for my dept, MS).
