Providence CA RN Residency Program - August 2025 Cohort

Hello, just starting a forum for Providence RN Residency Program - August 2025 Cohort, I currently work at a Providence hospital and got the email saying that internal applications opened 5/30 and external opens 6/6. Please let me know if you have any questions. Thank you

Yeah they do hire only RN, but people that worked in their hospitals are more likely to get the job, I have an immediate family member working at a providence hospital and I was not able to get a job at their hospital because I was told by said family member that they hired only internal that were CNAs that are new grad RNs

I am not sure about this, I used to work for Providence and I applied for the torrance location and have not gotten a interview email yet. I am hoping that I get one today sometime, but it sounds like they have reached out to the people they want already. 😕 I also have experience working for UCLA Health and currently work at California Hospital Medical Center

Im sorry about that 😞 I think they hire current employees, they hire the sitters and CNAs that do, per diem or part time, that's what I've been told, from the 3 providence hospitals I have family and friends working at, it doesnt mean all of their hospitals do the same, I am sorry 😞

I haven't lost hope yet. If your profile still says under consideration I'd say there's hope. Tbh I don't even know what to think. I considered myself a strong candidate. I'm vp of my student nursing association, delegate at cnsa, have worked for the two biggest employers in California (Kaiser and UC), I am active in my professional nursing organization. I worked through school, and I have been an MA for 12 years working both inpatient and outpatient. I have my ACLS and PALS. Still did not get an email 😭. So this is either related with having experience at Providence or pure luck. I do have to say that they are looking at my LinkedIn profile. So I'm not sure what to think! 
Either way I'm happy that people are getting interviews and hope we all get the chance to interview! Good luck

IDK which hospitals you've applied to specifically but I have heard literally nothing regarding Tarzana, Mission Hills, or Santa Monica.... Someone correct me if I'm wrong there.

Plus the timeframe stated offers to schedule an interview STARTS on 06/12... And someone in this thread mentioned even some internal hires were reached out to days after the initial internal interviews went out.

So I'm while I'm not optimistic for myself I think we might still see people receiving interviews 🙂 hoping the best for everyone.

Yeah mine still says under consideration. So I havent lost all hope yet. I sure hope that youre right. I will be keeping an eye out for emails today and next week. Good luck and congrats to those who got interviews!

I hope you are right about the interviews STARTING on 06/12. Im rooting for you too. Even tho I would be ecstatic that I get an interview, I am still happy for everyone else. Good luck!

I cancelled my interview slot on 6/17 9:30am at Apple Valley, it's too far from where I live, hopefully they will release it to someone that applied to Apple Valley. Good Luck!

From what I saw all day the 24th and half a day on the 25th with each interview being 30 mins
