Providence CA RN Residency Program - August 2025 Cohort

Published

Hello, just starting a forum for Providence RN Residency Program - August 2025 Cohort, I currently work at a Providence hospital and got the email saying that internal applications opened 5/30 and external opens 6/6. Please let me know if you have any questions. Thank you

Has anyone heard from San Pedro?

Specializes in Lvn for 3 years now new grad RN.

Does anyone remember interview questions? How should we prepare?

Or hear from Mission Viejo?

I just got my interview invite for St. John's about 20 min ago!! good luck everybody, don't lose hope

Anybody know if getting a text/email with the link for an interview is just luck of the draw. Is anybody vetting the apps to choose who to send the link to? To me it seems like you just get lucky

I mean research shows hiring managers typically glance at a resume for 10 seconds MAX.

That said I don't want to imply that anyone getting an interview "just got lucky" because ultimately there are far more qualified candidates than positions, or even than the hiring managers are willing to interview because that is time consuming for them. Part of it is your background but resume formatting is typically what stands out most to a hiring manager I would assume.

Regardless anyone who is a licensed RN is qualified, so chance inherently factors into it. I did several clinical rotations at St.Johns, Preceptorship, and  have worked for providence... Still no interview link for me LOL.

Your response leads me to believe its luck of the draw. I know some who got a spot for interview who have not worked at providence, no clinical rotation there, and are not even licensed yet. So if they were vetting them, you would have gotten a spot over them.

This is what one of the recruiters told me

"The interview invites will be given to the candidates who will pass the screening based on their response score."

Were they referring to the questions after submitting the application? If so, IDK how they can score that. To me it just seemed like typical application questions.

His response made it seem like he was reffering to the questions recieved after submitting the application but he did not clarify

Specializes in ER.

Does anyone remember what the starting pay was for PSJHC. Just wanting to know before the interview.
