Profitable Nurse Businesses?

Nurses Entrepreneurs

Published

Hello,

I am interested in having a side business besides a full time nursing job that can be very profitable. I heard some nurse owning two businesses and making 500k. Does anyone know of business ideas that could be THAT profitable?

Thanks in advance.

You can own any number of businesses and make any amount, but starting a business isn't like turning on a money faucet. It's a process to set up the right business and to get your message to market match. It takes a lot of experimenting, pivoting and persistence that most people aren't prepared to do. Once you understand what your audience is interested in and you build enough trust, you will be able to sell products and services. For reference, I would anticipate spending at least 5-10 hours a week for the 1st year putting all the pieces together and really understand the learning curve of a running a business. You can begin to earn some money on the side even right away. But to make any real money doesn't really start until years 2 and 3 you can begin to scale. There are a lot of lures out there to make money in 30 days, quit your day job in 2 weeks. But rarely will it work out that way. Fast, easy money is a myth and not something entrepreneurs chase after. Take the time and energy to build a real audience and a real business and it will pay off in the long run. You can make any amount of money you want, but you need to set things up the right way first and have realistic expectations of what it's going to take. And yes, your nursing knowledge is a great source for business ideas. Good Luck!

I literally just created this account on this site, so forgive my lack of familiarity, but was trying to see if there was any interest amongst the community in becoming an instructor and/or teaching AHA courses (BLS, ACLS, PALS, etc). These can be very profitable for those with an entrepreneurial spirit. If that is something that interests you, please reach out.

I would love to hear more about this. my personal email is [email protected]. Thank you nickbmd
