    Just out of curiosity, were your friends attending UMD prior to applying to Grad school? I know current students are usually accepted quicker than out-of-state and people who don't go to school there....

    I haven't heard from them either--looking at the timeline, interviews are being offered until mid February and decisions are given late February and early March. I'm not sure if this is accurate...
