Was “ace the PCCN You can do it” your only resource? I’m gonna start studying soon but I’m giving myself 6 months so I’m not overwhelmed with that and school. You know if the books they recommend on their website are actually worth it?

This doesn’t sound right, one of the requirements if I’m not mistaken is actually working on a PCU. Like if you were a PCU nurse and left and wanted to recert. You wouldn’t be allowed technically. They make you go from PCCN to PCCN-K to let people know you don’t have recent PCU experience so I don’t think ICU nurses can get it....

Current FL nursing student, graduating soon, searching for possible employment opportunities/options. Tennessee is my dream state to move to and I plan to study to become a nurse anesthetist at the university of Tennessee in Knoxville. I'll be graduating with my ASN and plan for BSN at UT. My question to anyone who knows is how is the nurse residency program at UT medical center, do you recommend? How different is pay compared to the other nurses not in the program? Does the program basically feel like an extended clinical rotation from nursing school? The odds of getting hired? (They ask for college transcripts as part of the hiring process, which makes me a tad uneasy on my chances.)
