  2. Hello all, I am currently a practicing NP in CA, planning to move to AL this year for family reasons. I am concerned about being able to transfer my license to AL with the requirement of needing a physician to fill out a collaborative practice form. If a position requires an already established NP license in AL, how is one from out of state to find a job? Thank you so much!
  3. What an interesting question because I actually think about that all the time. I wouldn't mind the pay cut. I like the idea of focusing on helping the patient in that one way and not having to deal w/ the mess of being an NP (pleasing the patients, pleasing the docs, pleasing management, balancing my gaps in education/training with the expectation of autonomy). I'm realizing it doesn't quite fit who I am. I met some great NP's before I chose this profession and wish I had a better understanding of what would've been a better fit for me. Oh well, you may have just caught me on a Monday.
