I'm a single mom who has been working as a LPN since 2011. I recently volunteered for a recovery program (through the PA Nurse Peer Assistance Program) as a means to clear my name after some trouble my party-girl lifestyle got me into. Proving my sobriety for the next 3 years is worth keeping my license to practice in good standing so I am complying with all requests, and if all goes well I will be finished with the program in 2019.
I was concerned when I was unable to find any good publicity for PNAP after I did a google search. I couldn't find not one success story and that's why I created this account. I'd like to reach out to other nurses in this program or similar programs offered through other states and exchange stories/support/experiences. I've been feeling rather hopeless because the terms of this program are very harsh and I have yet to find one positive outcome of success and life past the VRP via PNAP. It's quite discouraging.
With that being said, I encourage anyone with any information about surviving this ordeal to please message me and share your story. My hope is to connect with others so that the next 3 years of my life will feel a lot less scary. I anticipate a problem-free journey. Thank you for taking the time to read!

I'm kind of shocked you are only starting out at that much. I make $23/hour as a LPN in PA and agency offered me $27-$30. My first Job in nursing 4 years ago started me at $21.67. I'd keep...

Good afternoon everyone! I am 27 years old, a LPN in PA, and I just started the VRP via PNAP this year. I take full responsibility for my past mistakes and so I'm not going to write a huge anti-PNAP...
