    if you are going to work so much be prepared to have a negative effect on your kids. Sorry if you dont want to hear this but, those kids are the most important thing in your life and if you shortchange them they will repay it when they have grown up....

    Leslie61: You should ask your family if its the possibility or being touched by a homosexual, or being touched by a man in general. I think youll find no matter the orientation of the male nurse involved, they wont even want to be touched by any man....

    to mee, LPN means liscenced practical nurse. AN RN has more education to detect subtle changes when hanging drugs etc that a lpn doesnt. Rns are trained to detect and catch problems in absense of MD

    also, regarding the post above mine, in Australia NPs can order medical tests, but thats it. Just 'initiate' them.

    Heh i just have something to contribute, this whole discussion about NP or PA, in Australia is mute as we don't have PA's. When studying for your NP (Masters) you choose between two electives, one in medical the other in surgical.

    Some universities do have accelerated programs which just exclude the first year, such as melbourne university. The best programs are ones created to be finished in 2 years, rather than just lancing the first year off. I live in victoria, so i can on...

    ive had blood drawn twice, both times i fainted. Just seeing the blood leaving my arm and thinking about how it was the hydrolic force of the pumping blood doing that I conked out :-) and im a 95Kg male :-) it looked pretty funny apparently.
