  1. Absolutely. I didn’t see one when I searched. I deleted other group so there is no confusion. Congratulations again.
  2. Congratulations to you who were accepted. I’m in the TxWes DNAP Class of 2024 (one of the Class Reps). If you were admitted to DNAP Class of 2025 (2022 start) join your facebook Group https://m.facebook.com/groups/613635329892507/?ref=group_browse it’s a good place to connect with people, find roommates and get your burning questions answers. 3. If you are waiting for Texas Wesleyan University, they have started sending out acceptance letters today, check your spam folders.
  4. I was accepted during my “fast-track” interview with Texas Wesleyan University last Thursday. I have created a facebook group for our cohort, good luck to those who are still waiting to hear. https://www.facebook.com/groups/635952210403887/?ref=share
  5. It was a one-on-one interview with a faculty member. Lasted a little over an hour. He didn’t ask any clinical questions. I have been working COVID ICU since March, so we talked about that, but no “stump-the-chump” clinical questions. At the end of it, he offered me a spot and told me I got my first choice for clinical sites (JPS). I didn’t expect to get offered during my interview, but I was elated. Still haven’t celebrated though. I’ve been working since I found out. Gonna have a couple of beers tonight.
  6. So I got a call from TexWes (yesterday) and they said I have a “fast track” interview with a single professor. Does anyone know what that will be like? It’s on 10/15 in the morning. Freaking out a little.

  8. I still have heard anything from Texas Wes? Have you? Still haven’t heard anything from Texas Wes, have you?
  9. Congratulations on all of you who have gotten an interview/acceptance. Has anyone heard anything back from Texas Wesleyan University regarding priority seating interview selections? I am just here refreshing my email every couple of minutes. I know someone said, mid Sept they would let us know for Oct interviews. I have until today resisted emailing admissions to ask. Does anyone have any idea.? Thanks in advance.
  10. A friend of mine just got his interview email for TWU. I just looked they still don't have my GRE scoresheet on the TWU application website. I only took it on 7/9/2020 - I got a 304, I hope that's enough. I have a 3.91 (overall) 3.6 (science) GPA and 1 year and 7 months in ICU (Level ICU - Neuro ICU). TWU was the only place I applied because I missed the TCU window due to GRE delay because of COVID.
  11. My wife got her TXWES acceptance yesterday evening at 6:36pm. Check your spam/junk folders.
  12. My wife just got her interview invite for Wesleyan. Check your emails. Good luck.
  13. Wow, Congrats! TWU is already sending invites?
  14. I got in! Congrats classmates...those that haven't heard yet, take a deep breath you might get your email real soon.
  15. Yeah I've gotten all my immunizations done.
  16. Congrats on retiring. The accelerated program was my wife's first choice. She has been busy for the last 15 months, but she wanted to finish as soon as possible so it was worth it. She just landed two ICU (Neurons ICU/Transplant ICU) jobs right out of school, but has chosen the Neuro one at Methodist. She'll start her residency for that position in October.
  17. MY STATS Overall GPA: 3.74 PreReq GPA: 3.81 TEAS V: 91 Male 38 years old 17+ years of Paramedic experience Veteran (Retired AF) Recently hired at Baptist MC ED as PCT (Paramedic) My wife is graduating from the UTHSCSA accelerated BSN program in 12 days.
  18. You should still apply to the accelerated BSN. You'll have to take the new TEAS VI, but you'll start May 2017 and graduate Aug 2018, instead of Dec 2018. If I had a BS already that's what I would do.
  19. It's actually better to get a Patient Care Technician (PCT) job or Nursing Assistant job at one of the area hospitals, then when you start nursing school move to PRN (you'll have to work one shift per month). Then when you're close to completing nursing school and apply for a job you'll be an internal hire. Way easier to secure a job this way.
  20. I have until midnight on the 28th. I'll tell them tomorrow, I'm going to talk it over with my wife this evening. I don't know about the honor question, I had a 3.81 GPA and a 91 TEAS. I would love to go UTMB (always wanted to be a longhorn, but we (my wife and I) ultimately want to live in Charleston, SC. Since I was accepted to the Medical University of South Carolina, I decided to accept their offer for admission. Good luck guys. oh it was by email btw.
  21. Just got my acceptance letter, but I'm going to decline. I already accepted my 1st choice (out-of-state). Good luck. You guys should be getting yours soon.
