LOL Ive been an LTAC supervisor for the past four years, so yea, a little exposure. Our entire unit is RN operated - no LPN's at all. We have a 2 and 3 to 1 ratio. Thats every LTACH in and around Memphis.

Compared to some of the others I've been reading, it is. I thought I made decent in Memphis. It's tough to make $37 here...$34 is cap for 13 years experience. Im at 36.74 but I'm also a weekender and PCC so I feel inadequate now haha

I agree 100% that pay is #1 regional #2 based on experience. California RN's make $40-50; the same experienced RN in my region doing the exact same thing will make in the $25 range, go further east TN and its even lower, like low $20s. It all depends...

Try clinic nursing like at a primary clinic or cardiology clinic - Monday thur Friday, taking vitals, health history and answering phones.

Like any good clinician - advanced or not - they will be supportive and encouraging, whatever your endeavors.
