  1. And I just read you are BSN, so it's great you have that going for you!!
  2. Hi OP! I just graduated in december and moved to St Louis and was hired by SSM at St Marys in the ED through the futures program! I am not familiar with the scholarship you have received, but what requirement do you need to fill exactly? The Future's Program as been wonderful and I highly recommend applying to SSM through it when you are near graduating. In all honesty, I think you have a better chance of getting into one of those areas with SSM. One of my classmates really wanted to start in the peds ED at children's or CG and ED, ICU are especially difficult to get it to at Barnes from what she told be about her interview process, and it is only worse if you are an ADN due to Barnes being a magnet Hospital. They apparently take a very limited # into the more specialized areas. What is the specific reason you would have to go to SLU? St Mary's is known as the go to for high risk pregnancy in the ssm system and our OB floors here are phenomenal!
  3. Not completely sure of the difference between our two states, but here in MO you are considered a graduate nurse for your first year of employment. Might just be how our hospitals run it, but that's your title for one year post graduation from nursing school.
