Hutchinson community college lpn to rn hybrid

Thanks for letting me know the Kaplan book is garbage, that’ll save me some money. I’m going to take Microbiology through EduKan/Pratt Community College during the spring 5 session that starts on March 2nd. It’s an 8 week class but I’ve heard good things about it. I’m probably going to take Patho through Hutchinson since they offer it online as well. Good luck with everything!

    PN initial application on breeze

    No problem
  4. Where I work it depends. One nurse does the sedation and monitors the patient to make sure they’re handling it well, and the other nurse does the teching for the doctor (getting patients ready, setting up the room, handling biopsies and other specimens, getting equipment for the doc, doing the pathology, etc.). It’s all pretty interesting but can be stressful if things get crazy.

    PN initial application on breeze

Back when I paid for my initial license I didn’t attach anything, just skipped it. Still worked for me.

    Parent with Borderline Personality Disorder

Yikes. I’m not a school nurse, just wanted to offer my sympathy. I CANNOT stand dealing with BPD folks. I dealt with so many of them at my previous job and it was a nightmare. Hopefully they end up transferring somewhere else!

What to do about DNP and flu shot?

I just lost my aunt to a nasty strain of the flu and she was a healthy lady before that. She wasn’t that old either. Please change careers if you aren’t willing to sacrifice Your personal “beliefs” for the safety and well-being of others.
  8. Anyone know of any LPN to RN programs in Washington or Oregon that accept online science prereqs? I’ve looked at several schools and none of them say whether they do or do not accept them. Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks!

    Random tests?

I have UC as well and there are a lot of good meds out there to try. Lialda is probably the most recommended as far as oral mesalamines go and has few, if any, side effects. There’s a generic form of it now that is much more affordable. Just something to think about.

    Millennial Nurses Have Issues

^^This. I’d love to go for higher education, I just can’t afford it and don’t have the time!

    DNA testing

I recently found out that I have another sister through 23andme. She grew up with no idea who her father was and her mom didn’t know either. I’m really glad she’s found the missing piece and I’m excited to have another sibling.

LVN to RN for working adults?

I've been trying to find one as well. I'm up in Sonoma county and there's not many LVN-RN programs in general let alone ones that you can still work during. I'll be graduating from my LVN program in December and I want to get started on a bridge as soon as possible. I wish there were more programs.

    Online Anatomy & Physiology?? (accredited!)

Hey there, I was thinking about taking my sciences at NMJC online but I'm a little confused about a couple of things... 1.) when I look at the course details it says that you must also enroll in the lab course but I don't see those anywhere in the schedule of classes for distance learning. Is that a typo or am I looking in the wrong place? 2.) It also says that the final exam is proctored at a credible testing center but I thought you could take it at home via the lockdown browser software? Thanks in advance. I'm currently an LVN student and want to do a bridge program once I'm done (I graduate in December). I could kick myself for not taking the right level prereqs in the first place because the classes here are so impacted that it's nearly impossible to get a seat. Oh well. Live and learn, right?

    Isoniazoid question

To my knowledge, it shouldn't interfere with your drug test. Good luck!

    ATI testing for LPN students

My program uses HESI instead of ATI. I'm not sure what the difference is between the two or how accurate they are. I did very well on fundamentals last semester (99th percentile as well) but I'm not sure how well I'm going to do on the OB or peds ones next week. Congrats on finishing the program and good luck on the NCLEX! I'm just finishing up my second of three semesters :)
