Hello, I am currently a stay at home mother of 5 boys. 4 belonging to my husband and I and my oldest Nephew who is living with us for a bit. I am in the process of applying to Galen school of nursing to first get my LPN then continue on to receive my RN. I have been interested in nursing for a long while now and got my CNA (the 1st time) at the age of 16 and held a few different jobs in long term care. (My CNA has since lapsed again) The demands of motherhood and my desire to be the person caring for our young children led me to become a Stay at home mom and I have loved every minute of it and feel very blessed to have had the opportunity to be here for them. However, or youngest son is about to start Kindergarten and I am ready to pursue my dreams of finishing nursing school and pursuing a career in Pediatrics or obstetrics and Labor & delivery. I am sure it will be even more difficult trying to juggle my family life and nursing school but I have high hopes that all will go as planned. :)
