I call the kids down to my office, then I call parents. I have a running list of parents and kids I keep following up on. Once they resolve the issue I take them off my radar.
  11. Hope everything turned out ok. I had to use one on my ex husband twice!
  12. Yup even on the high school level I call home for my FF's.
  13. 13 snow days to date. Possibly one tomorrow. I worry about my "kids" all the time.
  14. I give ice freely for legit complaints. Now if a teacher or another student comes and asks for ice for someone other than themselves, NO GO. My kids even say, You put ice on everything. *head aches, falls, nosebleeds that won't stop with pressure alone, smashed fingers, the "I think I broke my wrists/ankle/foot/toe/finger* Yeah, I put ice on everything. Teachers here haven't complained.

Full Moons, Weather Changes, Community Events all seem to affect my little darlings. (My Super being here does also)!! Yesterday my super was here every one of our little darling FF showed up. She said they must be down here all the time, haha. Every time I am visiting your school they come.
  16. I am crawling under a rock today when I get home!
  17. https://www.fbi.gov/stats-services/publications/parent-guide http://www.ncpc.org/topics/internet-safety/tips-for-parents Internet Safety Tips for Parents - SchoolFamily I just googled those. I use different ones when talking to my "kids".

I am glad your worries are gone. I was at the ER with another student and my staff was calling the ER. When are you coming back, we have an issue with one of the diabetics. Want me to send the resource officer after you?

Is today ever going to end???????? By far the longest day so far this year. Honestly though it's probably because I have all these loose ends that need tied up and everyone I need to tie them is dragging their feet!!! GRRRRRRRRR

Then you get on the phone with the parent and they say, Oh yeah I told him/her that. They've been sick all week, with yatta yatta yatta. I will be there in a little bit to get them. (First period of the day).

We are sitting better with snow days this year than we were last year. We have had 13 snowdays so far. 6 of which are already made up (we go 10 minutes extra each day) Plus built in make up snow days. Now we have had countless 2 hr delays.

I have 5 diabetic students. The whole building has been trained on how to use a glucagon. Do I trust these trained people alone with my diabetics.. No,I do not. Should I have to be absent I would assure my super or another sub nurse would fill in for me. What age is this child?
