  1. What test did you have to take?
  2. Thanks, I will definitely get and keep everything in writing.
  3. Thanks for the advice, but I will be working in an outpatient clinic M-F 8-4:30(no shift work). Too bad to hear that some nurses did not get what shift they were hired for. I am really hoping that this will be a good move for me. I would love to be there until I retire in 20 years.
  4. I just received my final offer and salary after a long process but it was definitely worth the wait. I am a LVN with 15 years experience and the starting salary was greattttttt! I was surprised it was so good. I am so glad that I did not give up. LVNs are usually paid between $14-20 in the private sector but the VA pays wayyyy more. I can't wait to start. I feel that even though I have been a LVN for 15 years, I am finally starting my career in a job that appreciates my experience and finally pays me what I am worth.
  5. There is not much on this site about how much the VA pays LVNs so I thought I would give just a little insite. I just received my final offer and my starting salary was verrrry good. I have 15 years experience as a LVN. The salary offered was definitely worth the wait. If you are a LVN and would like to actually get good pay for all that you do the VA is the way to go!
  6. Just got my formal offer. The salary was very good. I am a LVN with 15 years experience and the salary offered was wayyyyyy better than any job I have had in the private sector. If you are an LVN the VA is definitely the way to go.
