  1. Southern California CRNA Schools

Also, taking classes won't help as far as preparation for anesthesia school in my opinion. It is like learning a new language and KPSA has a very specific way they teach the information.
  2. Southern California CRNA Schools

I didn't take any classes. I don't think it's worth it to retake classes unless you are below the 3.2 minimum. I know people with lower GPAs that got through. By lower I mean 3.4-3.5. It's not everything, they care about personality a lot and want pe...
  3. SRNA clinical

Hi, I was wondering what other SRNAs are doing right now in their programs for clinical. We have been off clinical since mid-March and will most likely not return until June earliest. Are there elective cases being done at your clinical sites? Those ...
  4. Southern California CRNA Schools

@skippybeatz Clinicals are mostly at Kaiser facilities and those are all over. For peds and regional rotations, you will go to outside facilities. I was also sent to a non-kaiser facility for OB.
  5. Southern California CRNA Schools

Hi @skippybeatz I currently go to KPSA. It's a great program, the faculty are very knowledgeable and give you the information you need to pass boards. I have heard that other programs teach you a lot of fluff, but KPSA has a 100% NCE pass rate. They ...

Thanks @loveanesthesia , you are so right in saying that my routine got me off track. I definitely need to take a step back and reassess the situation to determine if what I am about to do makes sense. I won't dwell, but I will try use this experienc...
  7. I'm a first year SRNA in my second clinical rotation. Today was kind of busy, 3 MAC cases before 11 am. My 4th case was a general with an LMA. I knew we weren't going to tube the patient, but I still drew up Roc for the case. During induction, I push...

  11. Kaiser anesthesia (kpsan) 2018

Hey guys! I feel like the instructions for the writing portion of the interview are pretty vague. Are we to come up with a program/solution to the issue presented in the abstract? Or is it more addressing the abstract issue with an idea for a study?...

I have e-mailed and called Christine Litzinger, no replies yet. I guess I will have to keep waiting, not sure if this is a good or bad thing!
  17. Kaiser anesthesia (kpsan) 2018

  22. DA Navy Nurse

I was told at my eye exam that I have Keratoconus. After further research, I have discovered that it is currently a medical disqualification ineligible for a waiver. I am pretty bummed, but everything happens for a reason. Good luck to everyone, you ...
