    NCLEX RN second try

Abbixy: I took the exam last Tuesday April 21. I ran out of time in question #233. I failed the first time with 265 questions too! I believe that I failed the first because I rushed in the last 35-40 questions l, but this time I took my time to read every question, and I passed!!!! Thanks God!! Don't rush people!! Quality is better than Quantity!!! I used many resources: Saunders, Kaplan, Hurst, NCSBN, PDA & Lippicott's

  8. Hello everybody. I come to this website to calm down my nerves. I took the NCLEX-RN exam last August, I got all 265 questions (I answered the last 30 questions without reading them), I was super nervous. I did Kaplan (I was getting 50's in most of them with a few 60'), some chapters from PDA and Hurst). I got all types of questions, too many SATA, TOO MANY weird meds . It was a nightmare for me. After I found out that I have failed I felt miserable!! 98% of my classmates had passed. After that, I had many things in my personal life, so thats why I needed 8 months to re-take the exam. The second time I read like 80% Saunders, did some Kaplan Focused Reviews, like 200 questions from the QBANK, and I did the Readiness Test (65%) and I did QT4:70.7%, QT5:61%, QT6:67% and QT7:63%), I read a few chapters from PDA,HURST & Lippicotts (Alternate Format Questions), but I didnt complete them because I bought the 3 weeks NCSBN Learning Extension. I start reading the first 2 lessons, but my exam date was getting closer, and I felt I needed to do more practice questions, so I did the 1200 questions from their bank (Thanks GOD I did that). Their questions were hard and similar to the NCLEX. I scored in most of the tests 60-80%, few 50's, like 3 90% and one 100%. I read the 35 Study Guide one time, (read it at least 3 times) there is many important information in there. Ok,so the day before the exam I felt soo overwhelmed I didnt have time to read all my notes, so I cried and pray, cry and pray. My exam was scheduled for 2 pm, when I went to the testing center, its was raining, I got completely wet. I pray before my exam started, I got an easy question, but at the beginning I didnt have many SATA. Then, the situation changed, I started receiving too hard meds questions. I had 30 min left, and I was in the #190 I think, but I told my self "Read the questions, dont make the same mistake from last time", so thats what I did, I ran out of time in the 233. I got like 6 ECGs, 6 Exhibits, like 30 SATA, 2 pictures, 2 maths, 4 put in order many priorities, infections control and meds, many meds AGAIN!! I cried like 3 times during the exam, only took one quick bathroom break, but I pray many times. I was crying on my way home. My mom and boyfriend were trying to calming down, but I felt so sad and frustrated!! Then, I decided to do the PVT like one hour after I got home and I got the good pop-up, I know I have to wait 24 hours after I took the exam, so I tried like 20 times, It has been more than 24 hours since I took the NCLEX and Im still getting the good pop up: "Our records indicate that you have recently scheduled this exam. Another registration cannot be made at this time. " It's 4 am and I cant sleep, I cant wait to pay for the quick results!!! Please let me know if this PVT really works after the 24 hours!! Thank you!! I will keep you informed

    NCLEX RN second try

Thank you very much to both of you. Your comments make me feel confident. I just got 65.7% in a Kaplan QBANK today. At least I'm getting more than 60% thanks God! I pray everyday, I really need to pass this time! Most of my classmates, like q 98% of them are working. I graduated last May. I feel bad because my family are paying everything for me. When I took the NCLEX the first time I had my exam at 8 am and I went to bed at 3, I couldn't sleep, my breakfast was a slice of pizza (what a big MISTAKE 😫) I had a terrible migraine, and one of my contact lenses fell out of my eye while I was reading, so I had to put it back without a mirror during the exam. I still don't know how I had the whole 265 questions. Thanks for your comments, that why I love this website

    NCLEX RN second try

Hello, yes I forgot to mention that I read like 80% content from Saunders, but it's a log book to read, and I realized that after all the reading it's too much information that it's impossible to read. Thank you

    NCLEX RN second try

Hello everybody. I came to this website looking for advises !!! I'm taking the NCLEX RN In 10 days. I failed the first time after 265 questions. This is a nightmare!! I cried a river!! My brother got married, I moved to a new house, many things happened after that sad experience.I used Kaplan, Hurst and some chapters of PDA the first time. I was scoring 50's-60 in Kaplan. This time I used the NCSBN 3 weeks, but I used only the the Bank questions at the end, I found the questions similar to the NCLEX ones, I scored on them 50%, most of them 60-80%, like 3 90% and one 100% (I almost cried lol). After that I did the Kaplan Readiness test (first time taking it) and I got 65.7%. I did the Questions Trainer 4 and I got 70.7%, I'm planning to do 5,6 & 7 before Wednesday, so I can have 4-5 days to read my notes (4 notebooks and the 35 pages study guide) Please let me know if you think I have better chances this time. And if you have any special tip before the exam. Thank you, I will appreciate it! My nerves are KILLING ME!! 😩😩

Thank You Jessica!!! I had 265 questions my first time and I used the 6 hours. I have PTSD With that exam!! I bought the 3 weeks NCSBN but I have no time yo Go Over all the content, I just read the first two. So, I started doing practice questions from them, so far I'm scoring 50-70%, but those questions are hard. Your experience gave me hope for this time. And Congratulations again!!! Hard work pays off!!! 👏👏
