  1. just passed with my 3rd take. not in the same situation with regarding the kids. but I know you can do it. What i did is read cover-cover saunders book. I went back to the basic and really brushed up my content. Then everything fell into place. Dont give up, you can do this. You are a future nurse.
  2. Finished the nclex rn with 100 or 101 questions dont really remember. I did the PVT gave me the good pop up. I feel that this is a good sign. and still waiting to do the quick result. i wanna share my experience to all those future nurses. It was my 3rd take in NJ (last take before im required to take refresher course which i dont want.) i was so pressured by this. Im working as a PCA at nights. So i made the most out of it, i study even at work even if im hella sleepy and tired. My first take was beyond horrible, i really dont know where i got my knowledge. My 2nd take i studied using kaplan but did not fully utilized Saunders. My 3rd take, I finished cover-cover Saunders yellow book. and focused on Cardio, Renal, Maternal (im a guy so im really weak at this). and just used Kaplan for QTs, diagnostic test, Readiness and qbank All my qbank i got 60+ to 70s my Diagnostic, QT1-7 and readiness 60%+ for me what really worked for me is reading the saunders book. At work, before i wake up, before i sleep. even im done reading, i would read at it again. Thanks to allnurses and all its contributors for all the advice. I can't wait to do the quick result. God Bless future nurses
  3. taking the test in a few days. just to update q6 62 q7 65 readiness 67 qbank went up to 64% correct Guys please pray for me to pass. been working my butt for the nclex. Thank you so much!
  4. Thanks for the input guys. For the people who passed congrats! you all deserved it.
  5. first of all congrats on beating the nclex. thanks for the input thou. I mainly used saunders as my content and i must admit it helped me alot. Hoping for the same result as yours.
  6. Am i ready? taking the nclex rn in a few days my kaplan scores Diagnostic 63 q1 60 q2 67 q3 64 q4 60 q5 66 q6 q7 readiness - not yet taken qbank - 62% correct Any one can share their exp with kaplan scores and nclex passing Thanks!
  7. hi prettylady87. your word file is excellent. gave me the little push i needed to get back on track. im on my 3rd try on nclex and believing its my last. Thank you for the time and effort sharing your experience! God Bless
  8. congrats! for your second take did u just use kaplan? or you added another review material? Thanks
  9. congratulations! Im also into my 3rd take. It's really difficult to start all over again for the 3rd time but never give up. THank you for sharing your story
  10. my first try on nclex i used saunders and didnt make it. i believe that i didn't practice enough on test taking strategy/critical thinking. i can say saunders really helps on content but thats it. To pass the nclex i believe that you should be at least prepared in regards of critical thinking and saunders. Goodluck on the result :) hope the PVT is wrong
  11. thanks for your reply. how's the questions on prep u? is it nclex type questions? Im im dilemma on using hurst or Kaplan again.
  12. @nursephillyphil thank you for your reply how's the sample questions of hurst? i can say that kaplan's qts and qbanks are near nclex, but video content is poop. i have to admit im weak on content so im reading saunders again. might not take ncsbn because of what you said
  13. i already have saunders 5th ed yellow book plus the saunders q&a book. I plan to get mosbys nclex rn review questions and nclex 4000. my dilemma is choosing either from Hurst review or NCSBN? What would you suggest guys? i already used kaplan on my previous try on nclex so i plan to take another review material Thanks!
  14. give yourself at least a week to relax and gather your thoughts. dont waste anytime. like you i failed and within just days im back to my feet preparing. Dont let the nclex defeat you. God Bless and stay strong!
  15. congrats! nice post you got there. im currently on my 3rd take. wish i get it this time.
