I am left handed, and I do not have any problems with any equipment. When doing procedures, for ex., putting in a foley cath... instead standing on the rt side of the patients bed, you stand on the lt side of the bed, etc.

I had the same charges against me before I started nursing school. It did not prevent me getting hired or taking state boards.

It is the same where I work too. No cell phones at ALL TIMES. It is also very tacky to talk in front of someone in another language. That's just my opinion.

I took NCLEX 7/30/03, and I had two fill-in-the-blank questions.

I did go to court to have the issue settled, but it was before I when to nursing school. I had to send copies of the court records to the board of nursing, and with an explanation. Honesty is the best policy.

I had 75 questions and passed. I friend of mine had 75 questions and failed. You never know until you get the results.

Starting this past Jan. our hospital went to a new acuity system. Instead of being based on how much care is needed per pt ...it is based upon how many pts on the floor. Day shift will have more nurses while night shift have less. In other words, ...

IMHO it solves the nursing shortage problem at this hospital. If you are not needed on you own floor, you are floated to another one.

You made the right choice...don't look back... who wants to be trapped in a job like that! There are places where you can get hired as a NA...get certification...get paid w/o obligation...etc.,etc...

If you cannot find a job as a CNA...by all means try to work as a unit secretary...you will have lots of practice reading the doctors beautiful handwriting...:roll :chuckle

I have not heard of taking peronality tests for nursing positions, but I have for business execs. Have any of you expericenced having your credit checked before hiring?
