  1. I had the same type of program with NCLEX style exams and HESIs after each semester. I didn't study at all for NCLEX because I couldn't find the motivation after graduation. I found it very easy and passed with 75 questions in less than an hour. BUT I've watched others I graduated with fail so it all depends because I never saw these people failing. In fact one got a 99 on one of the HESIs but still failed NCLEX.
  2. I'm with everyone else.. I loved my long car rides. It was my me time but at the same time I listened to lectures. I was able to start remembering things based on what landmark I heard it by. Listening to lectures at home with young kids was impossible unless I waited till they were asleep so the car rides were perfect.
  3. I worked 3 12s a week, two days clinical, one day class, and one day skills lab. I have two young kids and my life was nothing except school and work 24/7 but thanks to a supportive boyfriend and mother, I did it. I also waited till my kids were also in school to enter the program. Thanks to that job I now have a nursing job so I highly recommend working at least per diem somewhere. The only ones from my class with jobs 6 months later are those that already had a foot in the door somewhere. Good Luck!
  4. Nurse's husband was volunteering and driving people into work all day during a bad snowstorm.. She then calls out for her shift later in the day because she can't make it into work in the snow!
  5. Worrying will get you do nothing but get you stressed.. That's what school is for. You both are doing exactly as you should. The only people who get jobs in my area are the ones who are already working somewhere. The odds increase dramatically. Networking is also so important within that facility and showing them what a valuable employee you already are. I know working during school is tough but it is seriously so important. Who knows what will happen in 3 years but right now you're doing what you should.
  6. I love my Cardiology III! Works well for me on everything!
  7. I took it this summer. I emailed them and got the right person and got my number in 10 days BUT others in my class who haven't bothered them are still waiting going on 3 weeks. It will take weeks (usually 2-8) for it to be automatically updated. The only shot at it being quicker is to talk to the right person to have them pull it manually. Also going there in person seems to have gotten most a number on the spot. fyi I also haven't gotten the paper license yet.. I'm just happy to have my number so quick.
  8. Complaining worked!! I got them!! I officially unofficially passed!!! YAY!!!!
  9. Appt was at 2pm but I started at 1 and finished at 2:13pm.. it's now 48 hrs and 43 min since I finished.. no results yet this is killing me!!
  10. Congrats!!!!! I need to wait until 2pm.. ahhhh! My BON takes weeks to give numbers, so quick results is all I have!
  11. This is the longest 48 hours of my life!! The trick helps a little but it's just not real till these results come.. I think I broke my refresh button
  12. I test tomorrow and I'm freaking out. I thought this was so funny because I find myself on this site more too the last few days! I've always been a lurker on the site but today I actually registered lol
