  1. I got in & so will you!

Bitterness? Not really . The fact the OP was granted an interview with a 3.1 GPA and marginal GRE scores supports my position. As soon as 10 years ago no reputable school would grant an interview....
  2. I got in & so will you!

Those of you with GPAs around 2.5 should not worry , there will be openings for anyone who applies . Some schools don't even interview. It will be as easy to get into as a CNS or generic MSN program...
  3. I got in & so will you!

With the proliferation of CRNA programs, nationwide, anyone who wants to get in will. It is not nearly as selective as it was 5 or10 years ago. Apply enough and you will get it. Don't sweat GPA GRE...
  4. Reconsidering my post. There is an advantage of an MS over MSN. In an M program you are spared nausea inducing "Nursing Theory "
  5. I think a better solution would be to restrict the forum to only CRNAs . No AAs,students or people thinking about this profession. They have their own sub
  6. Ahhh. Now this is the Allnurses I remember. Maybe we should go back to prior screening of posts to maintain a genteel
  7. CRNA's working with AA's

I'm pretty sure if AAs were as bad as many CRNA's wish they were...they would not find jobs. Anecdotally , AA's seem to have more job choices than more than a few new grad
  8. AANA (NON) membership anyone?

I don't mean to contribute to the thread jacking , but, diploma programs were graduating students into the 90s. I know of at least two in this state that were giving diplomas as late as
  9. This is for CRNAs only....Are any of you NOT members of the AANA? if not, why not? Please do not go on and on about how it is my prefessional organization protecting my scope of practice etc etc etc....
  10. AANA (NON) membership anyone?

Thank you. I did not realize that. But let me restate that I am looking for CRNAs who are not AANA
  11. AANA (NON) membership anyone?

I do not work with AAs , however, they are in several local hospitals. The interesting thing about the hiring of AAs was, despite the " Sturm Und Drang" no CRNA left any of those practices in protest....
  12. Poop in nursing

She actually used the word poop as an adult?
  13. AANA (NON) membership anyone?

    Duplicate post
  14. AANA (NON) membership anyone?

I am not saying AAs in the military are a good thing. But it could be done if the need arises. CRNAs and MDAs could fill deployment positions in ATHs etc. In the case of the USAF. And CASH (?) ,...
  15. AANA (NON) membership anyone?

There are many places to get updates on clinical issues. Not so much professional issues. Unless you borrow someone's copy of the newsletter. As for doing it to save money, nope. The story you...
  16. AANA (NON) membership anyone?

Vast was not the adjective to use. And I did say I heard a rumor about AAs in the military. It has been a long time since I was a 46M3. We did not have AAs. I do not keep up with military CRNA...
  17. AANA (NON) membership anyone?

The US dept of Labor has nothing at all to do with the Value of our education...The Department of Education ( And I will be corrected if I recall this incorrectly) forced the move to establish the...
  18. AANA (NON) membership anyone?

Once more ... I cannot make this more clear.. I do not want to be pilloried by AANA members about how non-membership is tantamount to pedophelia or high treason...I am looking for those who are NOT...
  19. AANA (NON) membership anyone?

It is not an economic issue. The cost to renew certification costs as much as it would to be an AANA member... so no money is
  20. AANA (NON) membership anyone?

You are obviously a satisfied customer... I am happy for you. I am looking for reasons why a CRNA would choose not to be a member...... Even if you are a member only to take advantage of
  21. AANA (NON) membership anyone?

I am only stirring the pot because the vast majority of members are not dissatisfied with the services rendered by the AANA, COA or the NBCRNA. This is the only CRNA forum where nonmembers can post....
  22. AANA (NON) membership anyone?

What are you unhappy with in regrards to the
  23. AANA (NON) membership anyone?

AHHH NBCRNA... that makes all the difference in the world...I wil now rejoin the AANA.... Come on, I am sure there are syntactical errors you can also point
  24. NP to CRNA?!

Withe the proliferation of schools nationwide, you could probably get into a school regardless of prior experience. To fill seats schools are pretty liberal with the definition of " Acute Care" . I...
