@umbdude. I just put my deposit in a few days ago. Do you know if I'll already have an advisor that I can work with now? I'd love to find out which of my courses transfer and what my cirriculum will look like; or do you have one already from being a ...

Yeah I know someone who just graduated the program not long ago and they got through working part time. I myself will be working part time in the OR at MAss General so I sincerely hope work and school doesn't crush those of us who do both!

Hi cquachie Congrats on your acceptance. I'm glad you mentioned that the requires nursing class can be taken in the summer. I'm going to look into this as I feel as though I have many curriculum classes finished from a previous degree. As for the pro...

That's a good question! I really hope so. I have many courses done already that I've completed at Quincy College throughout my time earning an associates degree there. I did my own check online for which classes transfer, and if I read it correctly t...

Yeah obrien I agree with GK. You should just give then a call Monday if it hasn't updated. I called them when my status said incomplete and they at least confirmed with me that they received my stuff, but it just hadn't updated yet. as for UMBdude, I...

Thanks to both of you! And as for your app being incomplete, when did you drop everything off? (I didn't want to re read all the posts, so sorry if you already mentioned it) I dropped mine off on jan 14th and it was incomplete until almost February

GK I also had my status updated on Feb 4th to "a decision has been made" and I also had a very strong application. I just checked the mail and there was a big white envelope from umass. I'm accepted! I was also worried about the quick decision. Keep ...

Although I see how that can be frustrating, I wouldn't let it stress you out. My sister has a very spotty academic record, and then went back in her late 20s to correct it. Long story short, a few years later and she's an RN now :) I like to believe ...
  12. UMass Boston fall 2014 Traditional BSN

The way I applied was using the online application in which I submitted the app, the essay, and the $60 app fee. Once it was officially submitted, I was prompted that I would receive a letter in a week or so with an ID and password to follow my appli...

Your grades and scores are awesome, and 4 years in the ICU will help immensely! I'm rooting for you; I'd hate to see well qualified applicants shunted for lesser candidates. I applied to Quincy College and Bunker Hill, so UmassB is the only 4 year sc...

Hey there! I dropped off my application on January 14th and it's been "complete" for about a week or so now. I just logged in to check the status this morning and it says "a decision has been made and you will receive a formal letter within 14 busin...
  15. So I'm about to graduate with an associates degree in Exercise Science and will immediately begin taking pre-reqs/co-reqs to get into a nursing program. I've already met with advisors for different programs and know what it is I need to do. I'm in Bo...
