Anyone receive a phone call for Telemetry Units or Post-op Surgical units?

Sorry for the late response. I ended up interviewing with UCSD. Hopefully that's one nurse short for the 5MN telemetry unit and gives you folks a chance! :) Good luck to everyone! Hope you all get the dream jobs you want!

Just called HR, and they said average 30 to 40 applicants are chosen.

Maybe it's because I applied to so many new grad programs, but I don't recall during the application process where to specify which units I would like to be in. Or rather, didn't let me choose a unit I'd like to be in. Is it probably the part after you click accept and sign your life away that everything is true and stuff? From previous cohorts, I heard they choose the unit that best matches your capstone/preceptor last semester internship. I could be wrong, but I'm just overanalyzing that's all. Thanks for clarifying!

Krondike: Hey there sorry, didn't see your message, but i'm interviewing for 5MN Step Down. I have work the next day but I just put my flight towards 9PM since I told them I need to go work the next day. You can probably call HR and ask to find out about your unit, I heard some of the units from other threads actually had to go a second time the week after for an interview with the unit. Never hurts to ask right? And save you money at the same time, I live in nor cal so yeah...!

I called HR and they told me to stay there just in case of that possibility.

I called in particular to my unit that I was interviewing for, just in case they are considering a second possible interview. HR told me to be prepared to stay later in the day due in case I was going to fly home afterwards. I could be heading to the unit in Santa Monica to go tour, interview with staff there, etc. Good luck folks and if you there on May 9, come say hi or meet up :)! Anyone start a Facebook group yet?

It took me about 3 months for them to give me my ATT. Hopefully you'll get it fast but the BRN's are so behind, it's a freaking joke.

Hey all! Was wondering when someone would start a thread! Good luck to everyone! At this point, it's such a highly competitive position to get, but very honored to meet you all. If only we could all get it :)! May the nursing gods be forever in our favor. On a brighter side, we all graduated, pass the boards, and moving on to our next adventure!

Hi everyone. Remember that what do you do when one door closes? You have to open the door to make a new beginning. It just doesn't happen because we wish them to be. Also remember if you really want it, you will have it! That is the life of nursing. Not many people are fortunate, not many people are lucky, but the determination and sacrifices you will make will greatly reflect your performance on your nursing career. OMG YAY!!! I'M IN!!! See you guys on May 15 :) Anyone want to meet before that let me know!!! SO STOKED YAAAAY!!!! So this is what happened, I was in a meeting with my nurse executives and nurse managers, then I got a phone voice mail that converted to text. It read that I got accepted into cohort 16! I jumped and screamed yaaah! Yup, embarrasing? Nope! It's like I literally won the lottery :) ! Hope you all get in the program too!!

My friends who are in the last cohort did a facebook group for Cohort 15. It would definitely help a lot to start getting help and grouping up now before the fiasco's begin I'd say. And they told me semester 1 is the hardest semester because it jumbles up all of the important you need to know as a Nurse in one semester and can be time consuming too !
