I know it's been a while since I posted here, but I ended up not working at Kings County. The weekend after I got the phone call, I received a letter stating that I was not accepted for the position. I was really confused, so the next Monday, I calle...

I've been volunteering at the Brooklyn Hospital and I've seen LICH ambulances dropping off patients, and the ER has been pretty crowded. It's so sad that no one else is willing to save the hospital aside from their doctors and nurses

I just got a job offer from Kings County for D2 north and south, and I'm waiting to hear from HR. How was your experience with orientation? What are the evening and night shifts like?

You're welcome! One more thing, if they hire you, they prefer to have you work there for at least two years because they've had issues with ppl leaving after a year, so they're gonna ask you how long do you plan on staying with them.

I just had a phone interview with the recruiter this morning. I think it went smoothly, and the recruiter was friendly. She told me, however, that they have limited vacancies right now so I may not hear back about a second interview for a few weeks =...
I yelled at the TV during an episode of "The Mob Doctor" because a woman was going into postpartum hemorrhage and the doctors didn't bother to massage the fundus or start an IV pitocin. Needless to say I wasn't upset when the show got cancelled, it c...
I try not to correct people all the time so I don't look like a pretentious snob, but I'll make exceptions if someone is asking for my advice or if someone could possibly get hurt if I don't say anything. One time, my mom was sick and thought she was...
My mother is the exact same way! Last time I had a stuffy nose, she kept telling me to go to the doctor because I might have "walking pneumonia", when I really just needed a Sudafed, ginger/lemon tea, and water. I tell my brother to come to me from n...
