  1. We do 3 sets where I work. Our aids start first round as soon as they get report, second at 11ish and the last around 3
  2. I'm a new nurse, I've been on the floor for 4 months. I work on a busy surgical GI/GU and trauma floor. I am struggling with lung sounds, mainly the difference between clear and diminished. I can tell when there is fluid and other obvious noises but for some reason I just can't quite grasp clear and diminished. It's something that's very important on the floor where I work and I'm really trying to focus on the sounds when I listen but I'm not 100% sure what I'm trying to hear if that makes sense.
  3. You can look at your pros and cons, convince yourself that it's a great job, etc but the bottom line is, if you're not happy you're not happy.
  4. Yay!! I'm so excited! I was so upset afterwards about it! Generally I'm a pretty fast test taker! I don't like to spend a lot of time on questions; I start to second guess myself and change the correct answers to wrong ones
  5. I just got out of NCLEX. 265 questions in about 2 hours. Left bawling, got the good PVT when I checked in the parking lot. Does this mean I passed?
  6. I interviewed back in March; wasn't my best interview but seemed to go ok. I called a week later to reexpress my interest in the position-got his voicemail and left a message. I never got a call back. Called about a month later, same situation. I then called about a month after that, no answer for either the NM or the HR Rep I was in contact w/. I personally think that's very unprofessional. I don't even expect an email but a phone call to let me know 3 months later isn't a huge deal.
  7. I'm marrying a high voltage lineman Saturday!
  8. I got a pair of pants and converted them to a skirt. Super easy and the majority of the sewing is done for you so it looks nice
  9. In nursing school, we were always told that weight was the greatest indicator of fluid balance. A weight gain of 2-3 pounds in a very short amount of time isn't normal unless you are holding to an abnormal amount of fluid. I never really worried about how much fluid-there are other indicators of the exact balance, weight just was an easy noninvasive way to see there could be a problem.
  10. Hahahahaha don't know who you are but I'm right there w/ ya!!! So glad it's over!!
