Anyone working two nursing jobs?
I have a friend who worked 2 full time hospital jobs for a couple years. She made it work. The only reason she let one job go is because her body couldn't handle it when she got pregnant. With that being said, working at 2 different hospitals is possible. Her baby is now one and she's been back to working 2 full time jobs for about 8 months now. Good luck with that!

General chemistry
I just finished Chemistry over this summer and what helped me was doing all of the practice questions for each chapter and highlighting the book. The practice questions really helped me to understand the material so well that I'd get in the lab and was able to help other classmates. I had a rough patch and really fell off for half the semester and still made a B. but I was worried about the math and formulas as well. I think by taking the class by itself, you can easily get an A. Good luck!!

Finished Pre-Nursing, Need help on ADN or BSN??
Oh wow, which campus? I'm taking prerequisites now at the Clarkston Campus. I plan on taking the TEAS in November. I have a couple nurse friends in the area who think that I can still get a job with an ADN. I was actually talking to one of them the other day and she was saying that no many hospitals in Atlanta have Magnet status. Still I'm a little worried. I plan on ultimately getting my BSN but I want to do whatever it takes to get a job once I graduate.

to go or not to go. That is the question.
I think if you have a problem with stress management, you may want to re-evaluate your decision to go into nursing. Nursing school is stressful and the profession itself even more so. If you haven't resolved the issues that took you out of action the first two times, I don't see the point in trying a third time. I encourage to make sure you are in a good solid place before you decide whether or not to go back to school. Good luck!!

Emory University or Chamberlain College of Nursing?
Chamberlain is expensive. I sat with an admissions rep and unless you do federal and personal loans, be prepared to pay about 2 grand per session out of pocket (with federal loans). I only have 26 grand in federal loans and I would've maxed out my federal funding BEFORE graduating from Chamberlain. There's no way I'd do Chamberlain over Emory if those were my options. Also my experience is with their BSN program. Not the bridge program.

Yes Chamberlain is super expensive. I sat with an admissions counselor and when they told me how expensive it was, I got my behind out of there quick. Their program is ideal though. If I could afford it, I'd be there now.- Can a teacher do this?
When I took an Econ class for my previous accounting degree, I had a professor who would come in with this monotone voice and just talk. His teaching style didn't work for me and I got C's on every single test right up until the final exam. I scheduled an appointment to talk with him to see how I could bring my grade up and he was not helpful at all. In fact, I walked out of his office mad as he**. I was determined that he would not get the satisfaction of seeing me fail. I studied the entire book night and day until the final. Needless to say, I passed the class with an A. I understand your frustration. But now is the time to get determined and put in the work. Know the textbook so well that you can answer any question thrown at you with ease. Then it won't matter what's on the test. I think what most people are trying to tell you is that you have to move past what you feel your teacher didn't do right and work on what you can do on your end to kind of balance it out. If you know she's not going to tell you what to review, review everything. Make this class the priority and study the textbook every chance you get and anything you don't understand, you can ask her during class.Hope this helps! Good luck.- Attention all mothers!!! Help!!!
When I was finishing up my Bachelors degree, my children were 2 and 4. I think the keys are maintaining a schedule and definitely getting your study time in after the kids are in bed. When my kids were small like that, they were in bed by 7:30 and thankfully they slept until I would wake them up at 6am. Also, maybe you can go part-time to get the prerequisites out of the way and just ease into it so the whole situation doesn't get too overwhelming. Good luck with everything!! - Best online school to start an associates in science/nursing
