It really depends on the institution. I've only been to one college where you can take the lab by itself. Speak to an advisor at the college your attending.

That's how it is where I am looking at the open positions in my area. I would suggest looking at more rural hospital to possibly increase your chances.

I found a website/FB page called simplenursing.com they also have YouTube videos. You may have to subscribe but the reviews on the major improvements in test grades seemed promising. I would check it out.

Don't forget they are expecting to lay off 1000 more by the end if the year to come in line with next year'a budget. They cut 300 during the summer.

For Cumberland you can only have 9 credit hours left of pre reqs when you start the spring program. The 9 credit hours cannot be a&p 1,2 or micro. There is a full list of pre reqs to be complete.

Vanderbilt is one of the lowest paying hospitals in the area. I believe the average pay for a new grad is about $21/hr. I've heard of another hospital paying as much as $22/hr but that's the highest I have ever heard for the middle Tennessee area.
