To answer your question, hospitals pay better where I am (Northern California). I completely agree with Ashley about holding out for a hospital position. If the LTC has good working conditions/low turnover, I would seriously consider jumping for it!

The person you interviewed with did say "hopefully by Monday". I wouldn't take it as a bad sign at all that you haven't heard yet, as there could be many reasons. Remaining patient & positive is tough. Good luck!
