2018 Nurse Corps Loan Repayment Program

Received confirmation email today 9/4/18 with countersignature dated 8/31/18 for loan repayment to begin within 30 days. Was a finalist as of 8/22 for Nurse Corps! 2nd year applying. I am a Doctoral Family and Psych NP D/I approx 200% HPSA 14. My debt was about 180,000. Out of 60,000 annual repayment for first 2 years you get about 41,000 per year because they take out and pay taxes (Thank God). This is the blessing I have waited for. Good Luck to all! Keep applying.

I received that email last year as well but received finalist email this year. Don't give up!

I probably wouldn't touch it. However, ask program affiliates whether it is permissible once you start your reimbursements.

2018 Nurse Corps Loan Repayment Program

I applied to the Nurse Corps loan repayment program as NP in VA medical center. This is my 2nd year applying and first time having credit run by Credco approximately April 17 DTI 177% but psych score like 15 I think. Very little hope. Good luck all.
  8. I got accepted too except I will be in the post master's to FPMHNP DNP program and luckily the orientation is now online so that will save me a trip. I am registering for my clinical course this summer. As someone posted earlier, the paperwork is great. Trying to get my acceptance package completed this week for submission. Good luck to all and thanks for the helpful advice. Nurses supporting each other is SO critical .
  9. I appreciate your comment. I NEED to know what to look forward to as I embark on my next journey. I will make certain to look at my work demands. Can you recommend any helpful books or texts I can use that might enhance my learning.
  10. Thanks Cass. I have not received a student ID number yet so I am still nervous. The wait is killing me. Ask them about the MSN program. They may be in a position to transition you over. Good luck to you as well.
  11. I received a phone call that I was tentatively accepted into the program but am awaiting the letter later this week for the post master's psych-DNP program. Hopefully I can link up with others attending the Aug 2012 DNP intensive in AL. I am a FNP (licensed last summer) but wish I would have just gone straight into a Psych NP program and I would have been alot further in my psych career than beginning it now. It is a highly competitive program from what I hear and very rigorous I have heard from some. Good Luck to all! Tiffany
