   It is interesting to read this discussion as an LPN who isn't considered a real nurse. With 3 semesters instead of 4 for the ADN . How long until BSNs are in the same boat as ADNs? Having to "Finish" their education or be phased out.

   Yes I do. In Europe it was common for jews to hire Gentiles to do those things as it was felt it wasn't a sin for them. I have nothing against Jews as a group.

   They are harder to find. I went back to nursing after 15 years and it took me a while to find a refresher for LPNs. Most states aren't really interested in having more LPNs in the nursing pool is why. Hoping you will find one.

   The night shift is in some ways a lower stress shift to start on, as long as they don't want to put you in a supervisory role.

    The yankauer is only for the oral cavity. You need a suction catheter for anything lower than that.

    I work nights and I would add use sleep aids if necessary. I do. I don't sleep days naturally, and it makes sure I get the rest I need, or close to it.
